Need My Logo Improved

Contest Brief

We currently have an okay logo. Would like to make it pop.

1. Doesn't look like a badge
2. Would like it edgier
3. Colors can be changed even black and white will be interesting
4. Would like to use the mountain goat as a company mascot (or whatever) so any ideas would be great. Uploaded a pic that I don't like, but as an idea.
5. Logo designed to be easily used portrait or landscape to fit in any situation.
