Start Writing 25K Poker/Adventure eBook based on 6K Movie Script

We are searching for a well-qualified freelancer to layout and write the first cut of an eBook about a poker player’s life adventures. This is an eBook writing project that is mostly about developing an existing storyline and logically creating e-book chapters (12-15) while expanding the existing script to at least 25,000 words in a Word (.doc) document that logically lays out the story. The focus of this contract will be to read and enhance the current movie script of 6000 words (see attached sample). You will use and develop the existing plot and characters to recreate the same story but in a more logical sequence of events with chapters that are made for an eBook. The end result must be at least 25,000 words in a structure that will allow us to continue to write the book. Our target will be 60,000 words based on your 25,000. The issue we have is that the movie script is a really good story, however it is told in a series of flashbacks which does not read well as a book… and it’s kind of short. We believe that the current sequence would be almost impossible to follow, jumping back and forward again in Alex’s life. So we want the book to tell the story sequentially, following the life of the poker player Alex instead of the flashbacks. The book would begin with Alex’s University life and end when he kills himself at the end. You should know how to play poker, especially Texas Holdem, and have an idea of what happens at the World Series of Poker to write this book. You should enjoy writing and have the ability to describe settings and people in common words that allows people to easily visualize the situation. At the end of the day this book is for poker players. So no big words are needed, just a fun, packed with adventure, poker story. Adding character dialog while exploring the dark adventures of what makes a great poker gambler is key and showcasing the high-tech and dark sides of online poker. You are free to cut and paste any part of script into the new a chapter structure and rewrite them. You are free to expend where you think it best. You are free to add structure characters, subplots and whatever is fun. You are free to write whatever you want, however you want it, so long it reflects the dark, high-tech, story written in the movie script, while keeping the characters alive and defining them further. At the end of the contract, we expect to receive the work in MS Word with a table of contents, a great chapter structure, and 25,000 words written across these chapters. We expect you to include writer notes where you know, and plan, more can be written. For example “WRITTER’S NOTE: a few more paragraphs should be added here to expand Alex’s tension with Amber” or “WRITTER’S NOTE: You could write a couple thousand words here based on the poker betting issues Alex is facing” or “WRITTER’S NOTE: Introduce new characters here, and go to the next chapter and write them in as well. Develop this character as a secondary love interest”… well, you get the idea. So get us going in the right direction, leaving us room to expand the story to a full 60,000 words WE have 2 milestones. The first (for 10% of bid) for the chapters (with headings) with the general storyline outlined in each chapter. The second (for 30% of bid) for 10,000 words written within these chapters. The remainder will be paid once the work is completed. No public domain content is allowed. We will be checking and reporting all violations. --Correct grammar, spelling and proper English is essential.
