Here is an idea of one the stakeholders: use a unicorn in the logo. E.g. a head of the unicorn, or the whole unicorn. Unicorn is a beast in European fantasy and mythology: a horse with a long single horn on the head. The idea is based on the fact that the target audience of males 18-34 which PC ads would reach are called "unicorns" by advertisers. However, unicorns are typically associated with small girls, so please don't make the unicorn pink or cute - instead it should be "serious", like in horse racing, maybe with metallic or high-tech feel, to stress that it's still mostly male audience of gamers. Btw it's not a requirement, more like an idea to try out. I don't know if it would look the best, but am pretty sure that it's better that a simple generic combination of "A" and "G".

  Come on! Just clean this thing. You have more than a thousand entries. If you don't start rejecting you can miss something good. And I'm not rooting for myself. I have my entry well positioned, but I've seen good entries (in other contests) left behind because they were buried.

Just a piece of advise. If you don't like an entry, don't feel bad about rejecting it. There's no point on giving less that 4 stars. You have a board with hundreds of designs you are not going to use. A bunch of 3 stars always withdraw their entries because there's no point on having them if they are not competing. Just clean everything that doesn't suit your needs. It's not going to hurt anyone and it's going to make your decision a bit easier.

  And yes, it's pretty difficult to compare logos when one of them is plain 2D and the other is a nicely rendered 3D on a mirror wall.

yes i agree what is going on.... logo is not just a poster. please understand the concept behind the logo then rate any entry. only just combination of few letters is not a worthwhile logo. i just a meaningless and nothing else

To be honest, I don't know how you rate the entries, because they are all generic combinations of fonts and icons. A little bit of research across the other contests and you'll see that you are basically buying a bunch of templates. Whatever wasn't sold there it's going to be posted here. If you feel especially "fortunate", you'll probably walk away with a logo that has been sold dozens of times to different Contest Holders. Watch out for low quality entries.

  Good point. Yeah, will check the final candidates for authenticity. Frankly, generic combinations of "A" and "G" letters (which are all too easy to grab from shutterstock or other logos) I don't like all that much anyway.

Please don't use the idea of a console controller (like the one of Xbox or PS4) because our ad network's primary focus is PC games. Ads in console games will come much later, so if an image of consoles is used in the logo, it will be misleading.

We ran a poll among the stakeholders, updated about 1/3 of the ratings (mostly +/- 1 star shifts). Will hopefully give more balanced ratings later on.
