Contest Brief

I want a logo designed for a new business called AviEnglish. The nature of the business is online aviation English instruction, thus Avi (for aviation) and English. The company slogan will be "Sky is the limit"

I would like the colors to be blue and white, perhaps with some added black if you think it looks better.

The business will be first operating in China, and then in other East Asian countries. If there are cultural factors that you believe can play an effective role in the logo, please express that in your design and let me know that it has been included.

The logo should be able to translate into a number of media, such as website, business cards, social media, signage, t-shirts, etc. If the logo can also be expressed in a favicon, that would be great, but not at the expense of the overall attractiveness of the logo.

The winner of the contest will be expected to provide both high and low resolution file versions, including EPS, TIFF, JPEG and PNG. However, you don't need to present all these to me in order to win the contest. Just provide me with a winning concept. If I choose your concept, then you are to provide me with all of the expected files.

Please do not send me messages asking if I've looked at your designs and if I have feedback. Having done this before, I want to avoid receiving 100 messages pressing me to look at the designs. I will look at them when I can and will get in touch with you if I'd like for you to make some adjustments to a proposed design.

Please keep in mind that I've run logo competitions before. By now I'm familiar with logo templates. You're better off spending time making one logo that is unique than giving me multiple permutations of a logo template. If I wanted just a standard template, I could make that for myself.   Thank you. I'm referring to a logo composed of an icon, company name and slogan compared to a logo composed of the company name with a motif incorporated and a slogan. For me, the icon is the logo or trademark that can be used alone for example as a favicon (web site icon, bookmark icon).
