Contest Brief

Every year we publish a Stationery Guide of around 970 pages. We need new artwork for outside and inside covers of the 2020 edition, and your challenge is to create this. The cover needs to present a professional image and can be a different concept to the existing design, but it must meet the layout spec/formatting. It must also fit the Polycopy branding. I have included the '21778 Polycopy Colour Palette' for reference, and various versions of our logo and brand character. I have also included an image of a branded van in case you wish to use it in your front cover design. Use our website (www.polycopy.co.uk) for image ideas and request any that you would like me to supply as a hi-res file for your design.
The 'SG 2020 Artwork Spec' PDF is your crucial guide to getting the formatting and measurements right. Please read this carefully.
'SG2019 FC', SG2019 BC' and 'SG2019 Spine' show the current outside cover.

'SG 2020 concept outline' gives an idea of content - particularly useful for the inside front and inside back covers. The IFC should mostly be an advert for our Digital Sign In system, and I have included the 'Sign-in terminal' image for this and the text ideas are shown in the concept outline. The IBC should advertise 5 areas of our business not covered by this guide, with related images - Business Interiors, The Paper People, Labels & Stickers, Print & Promotional, and Managed Print Services.
If you start with a general idea of your design, we can work on refining content after that.
In the end I will need high resolution files of the winning design in PDF format with and without bleed, and preferably also in InDesign format.
