Contest Brief

I'm looking at publishing a children's book and need a great illustrator who can creatively spin up the main character and all its friends. This will be a series of books with long-term, regular work on the various books and characters.

Main character:
- A young cat/kitten who is thoughtful and adventurous
- must have some type of clothing item on
- Gender neutral
- best friends: squirrel, raccoon, and bird
- hobbies: fishing in the lake, walking in the woods, reading
- personality: cheerful mostly, positive, slightly clumsy/silly
- likes to hold peanut butter in his hands

Brief:
- water color illustrations suitable for ages 4-6 years old
- light pastel colors for background
- full color illustrated book
**Selected illustrator will handle all books in the series moving forward. Business partnership option available - to be discussed.

  Thank you for reaching out. I'm happy you did. I'm not quite sure about the outfit. I was looking for a more casual, less clothing outfit but I don't quite have something in mind. Even just a scarf around the neck is good.
