You've mentioned in the document, "The ComboBoxes in the column “User” shall have the same entries as the ComboBox at the top of the Winform."
    1. Will the user be able to select a different user using the ComboBox in the column in the DataGridView?
    2. If the answer to 1 is yes, then the user may select the same user in multiple rows, update different values in the various columns, and try to save the data. What should happen then?

Thanks, it does help. I just need you to confirm another query though. This far, I was assuming that the filtering would be done on the basis of the unique ID column, and I was populating entries in the grid based on the selected ID. So even if 2 users had the same UserName ('User1'), since the IDs are different, the grid would only show one entry corresponding to the selected ID. As I understand now based on your comment, once an entry is selected in the ComboBox at the top of the form, I should check the username and then populate all entries with that username. Correct?

You are coorect - the entries which shall be displayed in the DataGridView can be filtered by selecting a certain User in the User-ComboBox at the top - if no user is chosen in this ComboBox all entries shall be displayed in the DataGridView.

What I mean is that the ComboBox in the DataGridView Column shall be filled with the same entries as the User ComboBox at the top (e.g. User 1, User 2, User 3). However, only the item from the ComboBox which has been selected in the respective row (e.g. User 1) shall be stored in the DB for the respective row. Hope this helps!

Hi, is using Entity Framework mandatory? Also, what is the approximate number of entries you're expecting in the USER table?

I have no issue to complete this program. I can build first version in 48 hrs. Let me know what you want to know from me before you give your custom controls. If you give the custom control library, I will start to build and send first version in 48 hrs even though you don't hire me. After you check my first version, you may hire me if you like that. Let me know if you are Okay for my suggestion.

Hope this will help in the first step to get a better idea regarding the Custom Controls. I will leave it as a Contest for the moment (whereby I agree a Project would have been more suitable). However, I propose that I will finally provide the Custom Controls to the person which wins the Contest. In case of any questions or comments please let me know. Regards, Alexander

Dear Developers! Thanks for your comments so far. I have uploaded a short video in OneDrive explaining the functionality of the four Custom Controls which need to be hosted in the DataGridView. You can find the video (and a screenshot of how the Custom Controls are currently implemented) under the following link:

This contest probably not guide you to the best solution, done so fast and only to win the contest, it is not a typical job to a contest. Like a logo design for example.

YES! mahershahmeer, you are right. alotsch, please create a project and invite us. I have all parts developed in before projects, just need to put those together. I will not run the risk of lost my time. There are some concepts, validations, and procedures to develop carefully so this time wil be lost if other win. It is not so in a project. You willl have a time to select the best you rank by yourself according to previous works and profiles.

    Hi there!

I can work on this project, but as this is a Contest; I won't be able to start work on this project. Let me make you understand this.

This project is completely custom, though i already worked on the modules, that your project requires. But still it will take time to make all things work together. And so other developers will also be trying to achieve the same thing. And when you'll award the contest to one Freelancer, efforts of others will be ruined. I'd suggest you to create a "Project" instead of "Contest". That will attract good freelancers, who have good reputation. I hope you will be able to understand my concern. Thanks

    Best,
    Maher Shahmeer
