This is an example of what I am looking for – A synopsis of a Project Solution Of a Car Rental System
[login to view URL] You don't have to actually do the project, or code it. I just want a synopsis of how you would go about it. You can use existing projects, open source, build on other free projects. Be creative
The competition requires you to look at online Caravan / Motorhome booking business. Please see public board for more information
You are required to brain storm what kind of backend and CMS solutions these companies could use or are using to meet their business requirements. The business being the hire of caravans and motorhomes. Assume they are using a desktop website, mobile optimised website and also an app available on Iphone and Android.
One of the issues that needs to be addressed is the scheduling of the caravans. And the solutions to address this. How will you address this?
The project is to develop an innovative plan that explains the systems you would use to build the backend and CMS for a business model like this. You have to explain what you would use, why you would use it and how it would benefit the business / what problem it would solve.
You must address the database, server, operating system and server-side applications. If you choose LAMP or MEAN or another stack you must explain rationale behind it. You need to put your business hat on and think about the digital solutions that a caravan hire company would require.
Go into as much detail as you feel is necessary to get your idea across. There is no right or wrong answer. I will award the winner to the freelancer who I feel has best addressed this and explained rationale behind their thinking.
Have fun with this and be creative. I look forward to reading your submissions
