Contest Brief

I need a logo for my company, GRAPHITECORP, which has a very large natural flake graphite deposit in Queensland, Australia.

The graphite deposit is ideally-located for export of graphite concentrate products to both Asia and North America. Given the large size of the graphite deposit, we expect that the project will have a mine life exceeding 50 years.

Flake graphite is a major component of lithium ion batteries used for electric vehicles (e.g. Tesla etc), mobile devices and other energy storage needs. It is also used in solar panels and other electronics. In terms of graphite's use in lithium ion batteries, Tesla Motors Inc is building the world's largest lithium ion battery factory in Nevada (called the Gigafactory). Telsa's batteries are predicted to be used in both electric vehicles and other forms of energy storage (e.g. domestic use - coupled with solar panels). Graphite's traditional uses include steel-making, refractories and automotive parts (such as brake linings).

I would like to feature the name GRAPHITECORP as the main focus of the logo... accordingly, I am less-interested in motifs etc... just turning the word GRAPHITECORP into a stylised logo.

I have attached an example of what I have been using a a logo for the past few months (my design). It doesn't have to use this concept/colour scheme.

Note that I have previously used black (to denote the graphite) and blue (to denote the corporate element) for the two parts of the GRAPHITECORP word.
