Our goal is to support the charity WYCE who are based in the village of Madina in the Gambia; http://wyce.org.uk/. In doing this we will also provide a sustainably income to the local businesses including the tailor and the fabric supplier.

We will accomplish this through sales of ethically sourced, hand-made clothing and accessories produced in the village of Madina. We have already established relationships with WYCE and the local businesses. Currently we have clothing available, for both male and female in a range of sizes. The clothing produced has been made from traditional African wax fabrics in our chosen Western style designs. In addition to this we have hand-made jewellery and accessories. From the profits made 10% will be donated to the charity WYCE; WYCE is a charity that works in The Gambia to bring education, skills training, healthcare and self-sustainability to those in need. WYCE works hard to ensure that it helps to develop the villages the way that is best for the Gambian economy, in line with Governmental development ideology.

The products will be sold on stalls at festivals and events through the UK. We will also have our own e-commerce website once we have been re-branded.

As we are creating a social enterprise we want to reflect this in our branding. If possible We would like to incorporate Africa in to the design of our logo, this could simply be the outline of the continent. Alternatively we could use a Gambian Bird or Iconic animal, perhaps in a Geometrics style. We would like a fresh and appealing style which is modern yet appealing to all age ranges. We would like it to reflect that we our a social enterprise supporting a charity. Our products are aimed at a variety of audiences, male and female, ages from 20 - 50. WE ARE OPEN TO IDEAS THOUGH SO DON'T FEEL YOU HAVE TO GO WITH THESE IDEAS :)

Also we want to follow the theme of eco and ethical (people love that and we think its quite fitting) so brown/greens etc could work well.

You'll see from the images attached the clothing is made from vibrant wax fabrics which are patterned.

Finally our tag line is 'Make Clothes Matter' so we would like to incorporate this in to the branding.

We are also looking for someone to build our website so this could lead on to further work if successful.

We are putting the final touches on our designs and will upload within the next 2 hours. It took us many hours but we hope our work is worth the wait :)
