Contest Brief
Hi all...
The time has come when I need a nice, clean, logo for my photography business. My photography is essentially high end-travel photography (for the likes of GEO, NG, LonelyPlanet etc.) and also general high-end studio work (portraiture, fashion, etc.) Apart from my main domain (www.mariosforsos.com) I have also registered www.nomadphotography.com (as I am thinking of moving the entire business under that new domain and name), so if you feel you can provide a better design for that, I would be more than willing to consider it.
What I need is the following:
- a nice, simple log (nothing in 3D, nothing with shades etc., nothing with too many colours)
- Ideally, it should contain a handwritten AND a stylised element (can be a play on initials or entire words)
- it does not need to have letters (either the title or the name) - a nice, interesting logo (see brief below) would also do, but must be accompanied by a proposal of how to display the name along with the logo)
- it needs to work both against a white background and against a dark (therefore, there would have to be two versions)
- the logo (if a graphic) must avoid the usual photographic suspects (apertures, cameras, etc.) It can be, however, very organic (so, for the case of Nomad Photography) it could be anything tribal or travel related
- Ideally, I'd like to avoid really weird fonts, but if you have a very interesting one, I'd be willing to consider it
If a designer provides TWO submissions (one for the current site and another for the Nomad site) and they are both accepted, s/he will, of course, receive double the payment, so please submit them as separate entries
The logo will be used in the following ways:
- Site
- Business Cards
- Stationery (mainly offer forms and invoices)
- T-shirts
- Watermark over images
Thank you all for your help...;-)
