Contest Brief
This logo is for a small business consulting company which will provide inexpensive online resources and direction to small businesses who are anywhere from the idea stage to the point where they are just wanting to takeover their own IT or design a new logo and image. Some of the services this website will offer are :
-Do it yourself websites
-More complicated e-commerce/database sites
-SEO
-Social Media optimization and setup
-Logo design
-literature design and content
-800 numbers with call routing
-Online tech support services and customer service offerings
-Online legal resources
-links to government regulatory services to keep their business legitimate and get set up properly.
-Access to local and national resources for investments and loans for small businesses
-Consulting services (at an hourly rate) to walk the business through getting set up and managing their own resources so the need for expensive IT services can be avoided
Basically, we've done years of online research on the best web based services and determined, based on price versus customer satisfaction, as well as which services were purchased or went out of business in the past, which ones are worthy of investing in with the clients' small businesses.
The purpose is to 1. Get your business started, 2. Get online, 3. Get automated, 4. Get customers to show up to your site, 5. Keep your customers happy and coming back. We do not currently have a "tag-line" due o the fact that we have not carved anything in stone at this point (we are still in the planning stages). Feel free to purpose one- we can always ask you to change/remove it if we do not agree with it.
LOGO DESIGN: We want to express professionalism as well as creativity with our new logo. We are very open to ideas from artists and will provide feedback to those who we feel are on the right track. Currently we do not know what that track is so this is the best guidance we can provide at this point.
This is absolutely NOT a requirement but if anyone wants to use a skyline in the background, we are located in the Kansas City Metro so please use the appropriate skyline. Good luck, and we hope to be communicating with you very soon.
One last note: If the artistic talent of the winner or runners up are considered to have professional expertise, we will likely be contacting you for many more logos in the future.

I've rejected a few which were redundant (meaning you've submitted one or two more which I favor compared to your previous entries). I am waiting until the final hours of this contest to pick a winner so don't be discouraged that I haven't chosen yet. Feel free to continue to submit any new ideas as long as the contest is open. The top ideas are mostly based on the same concept, a "B" and a "P" in the logo. Take a chance and submit something more unique. I definitely like the higher ranked logos but I'm sure we can come up with something that's not based on what someone else got a high ranking on. Again, please include at least the ".com" and preferably the LLC as well. We still have 6 days left so feel free to submit other logos which are not based on the current concepts. A few good entries so far. Please somehow include the ".com" along with the logo. The business's legal entity name is BuildaPresence.com, LLC. Since this will be on stationary, business cards, and a website, state law requires that the full name (including the "LLC") be displayed. I know that can get unwieldy but it will save us being redundant and needing to also type out the legal entity name on all stationary and websites. Please be creative and feel free to re-submit your previous designs along with the ".com, LLC" somehow incorporated.
So far, 2,7,5,and 9 are in the lead but we are hoping for more variety before the contest ends so if you have more than one idea submit them all. Thank you for the early entries so far.- 9 years ago
