Contest Brief

I am looking for a skilled freelancer to design a low power voltage supervisor/detector circuit with the following requirements:

Power Requirements:
- The circuit should have low power consumption to ensure energy efficiency.

Response Time:
- The desired response time of the voltage supervisor/detector should be moderate, striking a balance between speed and accuracy.

Precision:
- The voltage detection should be highly precise, ensuring accurate monitoring and supervision.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in designing low power circuits.
- Experience in voltage supervisor/detector circuit design.
- Familiarity with components and techniques for achieving high precision in voltage detection.

Note:
- Don't use microcontrollers as they introduce unnecessary complication and need programming as well.
- The circuit needs to consume very little power and has to be simple to make.
- A simple concept of the setup is attached here for clarity

Detail of the Project: I am seeking a skilled and experienced freelancer to design a compact and low-power circuit for monitoring and verifying the input voltage from a Laptop's USB 5V power supply without too much complexity or microcontroller.

The circuit's primary function is to ensure that the incoming voltage falls within the specified range of 4.5V to 5.5V, with a target of around 5V Ideally. This monitoring is critical as the USB power will not only supply the circuitry for Voltage monitoring but also drive an adapter with a strict operating voltage range. It is essential to design the circuit with minimal power consumption to avoid overloading the USB, which has a maximum current supply of 0.5A. The freelancer should implement a solution that self-tests the adapter's output voltage (shown in the picture), providing a reliable indication of whether the voltage is within the required range. You can propose me what would be the output indication, a low power LCD monitor, A simple LED to represent the voltage is out of range or something more simple and reliable??? The design should be efficient, cost-effective, and compact, ensuring seamless integration into the overall system without the need for additional power sources.

If you possess expertise in low-power circuit design, USB interfacing, and self-testing mechanisms, we invite you to submit your design.

Any question feel free to ask.

***********My selection criteria would be that I will look for accuracy to be able to measure the voltage and indicate when the voltage is out of range, low-powered, easy-to-build circuit.***********

If you are an electrical engineer with the necessary skills and experience, I would love to hear from you.
