Design both an ebook and print cover for me

Contest Brief

I'm an independent author who is getting ready to begin a new Christian fiction series (If all goes well, it will consist of a minimum of 10 volumes). What I'm looking for right now is someone with excellent design skills who works in a timely fashion and is easy to get along with. I'm looking for someone who would be interested in designing the covers for every book in the series - not all at once, but one per month or so.

So for now... let's start with one cover. Show me what you can come up with and we'll go from there. I need both an ebook cover (for uploading to kdp and a print version to be uploaded through createspace - the print version will be 275 cream colored pages and the book size will be 5x8

Title: Rebuilding Alden
Also to be included on the cover: Book 1 - Worthy Battle Series
Author: JR Thompson (please do not put dots after the letters JR and please do not put the R in lower case, but spell it just like I did)

FYI: The probation officer is a white male in his early twenties
Alden is a rough-looking 13-year old white male
The setting will be inner city

Other than that, I am not going to add physical descriptions until the cover is designed - that should give you more liberty to show off your creativity.

Here's the blurb to appear on the back cover (and to give you an idea as to how to design the cover):

Philip Bones can't help but see potential in his new probationer, 13-year-old Alden. The angry, self-centered teenager takes pride in his bullying skills, despises authority figures, and considers acts of violent intimidation his favorite pastime.

Bones doesn't want to see the young man placed in juvie. He'll do anything to prevent that - including giving up his free, off-the-clock time to mentor him.

But is it enough? Can one man's influence rescue Alden from self-destruction?

      I figured it out, but that would cost me another $30 to seal it. $70 is the most I really want to spend on this project at this time - that would put me at $100. I went ahead and guaranteed it, but that's as far as I can go right now. Sorry.

      Your design was great. I just think the scene was a bit much for the main character in my novel. He is violent, but not quite violent enough to have a car blowing up behind him while holding a knife in his hand. The kid is a bully toward his peers and toward adults. For example, he knocks another teenager's skateboard out from under him and the guy gets up in a lot of pain, thinking he might have injured his tailbone. Alden laughs at him and says something like, "Ah... do you want me to call your mommy?" In another scene, he beats up his grandmother with a baseball bat. In another, he runs from a police officer and has to physically held down on the ground and handcuffed. So he's an inner city kid that gets himself into a lot of trouble, but not a gangster if that makes any sense.
