Design mockup for data entry pages (graphic design only)

Contest Brief

Graphic/UX designers, can you suggest a good mockup to modernize an old data entry interface?

This little app needs some design work to modernize it and make it look great, with a light and dark mode option. See the attached logo jpg for the color palette.

This is a time entry system for projects, and the idea is "Simple Time Entry for Your Business"

There isn't much room for change on the control *location* on the screen, since these are auto-generated (there are many screens), but design for each type of control can be considered, text boxes, drop down lists, calendars etc. can have colors, size, and shape changed. The header section and footer section can be completely changed as well as the screen background colors etc. I want you to add color, size, shape, etc changes as you think would make this look nicer.

Don't worry about CSS or programmatic changes as that is being done on another project on this site.

I am most interested in getting a designer's input on common elements of the screen that will also translate to many other screens in the system. The login screen should have some design on it for people who arrive there (but it is not a home page; the home page will be a separate site).
