Designing a new logo for a watch brand!

Contest Brief

Hi,

About one year ago we started a new watchbrand.
Almost everything is ready the place the order with a manufacturing company.
All we need now is a new logo.

The logo should could consist of the initials of our brand: Olivier Bruyneel (OB)
Or if you can think of a unique symbol, that can work as well.

We named the brand after a Dutch trader/explorer from the 16th century.
With boat he discovered some new trading routes, between The Netherlands and Russia for example.

The logo should look elegant, chique, classy, static, royal etc.
It should not be too complicated as it most likely will be printed on the dial of the watch.

I will add some pictures of some samples that we already had produced.
Also I will add our current logo.
However due to some complications it would be easier to change the current logo.

Really looking forward to see your ideas about it!
I've heard there are quite a lot of talented people here.

As for ideas; maybe the contours of a face from the 16th century, maybe a unique combination of the letters OB, maybe with a mystical symbol that represents something. We are open to literally anything.
Perhaps symbols that represent unity, exploring, trading, ambition, equality.
But a good looking not complicated OB could do the trick as well..
