Contest Brief

i need a logo/watermark for some of my personal projects, it has to be simple (not overdone and less than 5 colors) and recognisable, as well as easy to (partially) recolor for festivities

the logo has to be versatile since is going to be used for many different projects in many different mediums/genres, it has to represent me more than the content I produce, that said, you can use these examples of the things i’m working on and some of my future plans as reference for your design:

music videos
animated shorts
educational videos of diverse topic
short online novels
animated fairy tales / folklore/ legends

aside from all that there are some specific design choices that while aren’t strictly required to be chosen as the winner, they are heavily encouraged:

hiding my initials EY or GG somewhere in the design
invoking either axolotls or cats in the design, as those are my favorite animals
simpler geometric design are prefered
tones of gray are to be used in moderation
