Contest Brief

We are looking for Architects/Engineers/Creatives that can help us come up with some ideas to remodel a home we are looking to purchase. This is a contest to see who comes up with the most innovative floor plans. The contest will work as follows:
1. Attached are the Autocad files for the home. In addition we have attached PDF of the original plans.
2. We have attached a PDF that has some of our design ideas.
3. We have attached the original drawings of the home in PDF as well as a PDF of another home "Dennis Fernandez" that has a third floor.
4. You will submit your designs during the contest period.
5. We will provide comments to make improvements/refine the design
6. We will select a winner that will then produce a 3D rendering of the home based on the design submitted.

For Milestone release, we will need the following files:
1. AutoCad/Revit project files
2. Renderings in JPEG and PDF

    Hello, Now I undertand perfectly the brief nd the structural work of the house, I want to ask before to complete the proposal, if we can demolish the roof and configurate a new facade, adding the third floor and have more espace for this.

    Hi, before I get working on the project I just wanted to clarify one thing regarding the critaria for selecting the winner. In the 6th point in the description you mentioned "We will select a winner that will then produce a 3D rendering of the home based on the design submitted.". Does this mean that for the contest we will be evaluated only on 2d floor plans and will not be evaluated based on 3d renders? Or will the contest be evaluated on the 2d design in conjunction with 3d renders? As an architect, knowing this will help me to prioritize my focus on the design rather then creating 3d visualisation for this contest at this stage. Looking forward to your reply.

      Great question KM! Yes, the contest will only be evaluated on the 2d plans. Only the winner will do the full renderings. I dont want people sending a lot of time on renderings. I want them to focus on coming up with the best floor plan! Again, great question.
