We have a portal that has a search function. The search has a single input but returns results from 3 facets. We are looking for a nice way to make the search results more minimized and tighter without losing any needed info.

Today in facet 1 and 2 we have:

1- Name of file,
2- version
3- page that the result is on
4- Url to file
5-summary of matches on that page

On facet 3 which is kinda like stackoverflow we have
6- answer count, view count
7- title/question
8- tags used by the page
9- full date of the question

the numbers from this annotation should match up with the description above

I am looking more for a layout change here no so much the graphic design. we are still in the wireframe phase for redesigning this system so i prefer that its more conceptual wire looking so its quick and clear what we are wanting to do.

I think some ideas for this are, hiding the root of the domain so its not so long, and or just burying it in an icon with a tool tip
maybe coming up with a smart way to relay the version and page so its less bulky
we probably dont need to show the tags but maybe we can bury in a tooltip
the date could be shortened and changed in layout so it doesnt eat so much space.

we are looking for a nice clean, clear way to get whats needed for the results to be able to help the user make the quickest best decision with their time
