Contest Brief

Pieces & Paper is a new business with a focus on thoughtful gift giving. Our primary products are handcrafted luxury soy candles and bespoke greeting cards. We are seeking a logo that will convey our vision of the brand and create a memorable first impression. We want to stand out with elegant distinction in a competitive market.

We are ultimately looking for a business logo that is simple, memorable and timeless. We would like a small degree of femininity in the overall design which may be in the use of colour, flourishes, or another graphic element, but elegance and simplicity are key concepts that we would like to see in the design.

As the business focus is luxury soy candles and bespoke greeting cards, the inclusion of one or more of these subjects (such as a candle flame) would assist in making a memorable and relevant first impression.

In terms of colour, we have two schools of thought:

1. A pastel colour palette, or soft tones, fit with our vision for our business.
OR
2. A black and white logo could just be the epitome of what we are looking for, so do not wish to rule this option out entirely.

The design should include the text "Pieces & Paper" or "Pieces and Paper".

The chosen design will be required to be submitted in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop formats and must be fully editable. There will be only one design chosen, however we will give serious consideration to all relevant submitted designs. Best of luck to all submissions, and thank you for your time.

There are numerous excellent entries, it will be difficult to choose only one., and I am not certain that we have the one that fits our vision. We appreciate the submissions, there is still plenty of time left.
