We need a logo design for a Portal Website called Englishpal (www.englishpal.ps)
The winning design will be used for the renewed website, for business cards, headed company paper, stickers and banners.
See our logo preference in the enclosed chart. This is for directions only and we are open for all kind of ideas. However, our logo should not be a grey in grey combination - we are looking more for a modern eye catcher with a professional look in Web 2.0 style.
The new site will be mainly blue, but also with some other colors (see enclosed colour scheme for the new site). The new logo should have these colour directions OR go along with the colors of the enclosed color scheme.

Some more thoughts for the new logo:
o Our site is non political and non religious
o The site is for four different user groups - maybe this can be illustrated somehow in the new logo (but not necessarily).
In the old logo we choose people holding hand to express this. However this logo was done 5 years ago. Today many logos use people, holding hands, etc ... maybe we don't want to go this direction.
o The site wants to connect people which would normally not be able to get together (because of travel limitations, borders or cultural barrier) + the site should connect people outside their normal network of family, friends, colleagues and neighbors.
In the old logo we choose a computer screen to express this.
The new logo can (but not necessarily) develop the idea of the screen further.
o The word "Pal" within the name "EnglishPAL" means: Pal = friend as well as it stand for Pal = Palestine

#33 : Could we ask some changes on the current design:
- Letter E capital
- Make the letters PAL the same height as the letter h
- enlarge slightly the distance between the letter A and L (that visually it looks the same distance as between P and A)

Once this is done, if you could present us two logos:
one with this change
and
a second one where you swap the blue and the green colour. (The main colour of the new site will be blue and we are thinking which one will look better.)

Currently all entries with 3 and more stars are giving us new ideas - but THE LOGO we haven\'t found yet.

So keep submitting, we are still open for new ideas ... and also look forward to possible updates and modifications from designers who already submitted logos.

Important Note: New websites main colour will be blue, see brief and attachments for all colours to be used.

#18 : Can the circle be more integrated into the word? Maybe the two ends of the circle end up near the letter h?

#33 : Can the letter of the word \"English\" be the same height as the letters from the word \"PAL\"? About the figures on the left side: are there any other ideas which are not that often seen in images. The one you use are often used figures. However, we like that the figures are moving (and not standing).

#grafixsoul #Arvndsgr #fcruzt #kmohan74 #ALL: Every time we look to your logo suggestions we are wondering how the logo would look if the figure is integrated into or behind the wording \"EnglishPAL\" rather above or beside the wording \"EnglishPAL\" and maybe the figures need to re-shaped (stretch, enlarge, smaller, ?) ) in order to fit. Again, it\'s only suggestions.

#12 The idea with the flag color (but not flag shape) is creative.
Also 4 shapes (as a symbol of the four user groups) is nicely integrated.
But we think that the shapes need to re-tuning. Also the blue color of the word \"EnglishPAL\" is too bridge.

#5 : We have four user groups so we think that there should be four squares. The colors of the logo should more harmonize with the colors of the new site (see upload).
On the other hand integrating the squares with the word EnglishPAL might be also an idea!

#9 : Design gives an impression that the website is global - similar to Google, but in fact our user groups are all based or related to Palestine. So we feel that the background image is misleading.
The font is too ornamental.

For design number #1 : The orange background is \"to much orange\", especially that the websites main color will be blue. All in all: To many colors that not really harmonize with each other. Also: At the moment we can not see that the light bulb reflects our websites concept.
