Contest Brief
Hi There, my name is Gabriel and im looking to get a very professional website/online platform for my new business.
I have been working in the transport industry (deliveries and residential/commercial moves) for the past 8 years and I have been able to spot some great opportunities in this industry. I believe this is an industry that is right to be disrupted by a more relevant and innovative way of serving our clients and partners.
The idea we want to execute is in many ways following the trend of sharing economy and the uber business model.
We aim to provide our clients with a pool of trained/credited professionals (within this industry) where they will be able to see their profile, BIO, and reviews in order to select the most suitable candidates for their job and budget.
Our idea is to have a large database of qualified labor and offer our clients a customized solution for all their moving needs.
We will be offering a budget solution where the client can choose to hire their truck from a partner truck hiring company, so instead of having to select an "off the shelf" solution (truck + Movers) which has already a set hourly rate, the client can chose to only select the trained/qualified movers from our platform and rent the truck (daily rates) from third parties (partners) by doing this our clients are able to save hundreds of dollars at any point in time.
We are also able to provide premium solutions where we provide quality "off the shelf" solutions offering clients more convenience and saving them time.
Our database will also compile qualified professionals in:
-Offsider/Drivers
-Packing/unpacking
-organizing/declutter
-Cleaners
& packing material (products)
-Truck hire
-Storage solution
In order to ensure the superior quality and our differential in the marketplace, we are devoted to really focus on the training aspect of the business and that is why we will also need to implement/ be able to host within our platform online courses.
The idea is to have 2 interfaces, the first one is the customer interface on our website where they can understand how our system works and where they can find information about our partners through a search system(profile/bio/reviews/rates) as well easy booking system process. We could also have a way of linking them with third parties (truck rentals + Storage places).
The second interface would be like our partners portal, where they will have access to a dashboard that they will be able to keep track of their development/training, provide their availability for work, keep track of their earnings, receive notifications, create their profile and so forth.
We would like to mimic the layout of Uber website, and have the functionality of something like (removalistseeker.com.au) and create a simple and clean partner interface (dashboard).
We are creating this from scratch so we will need to build/design the website for the purpose of testing the look and feel of it so to speak before we actually begin to work on creating its functionality and operation capability.
