Contest Brief

My business partner and I recently started a small engineering firm. Our work is primarily in the oil and gas industry for the time being, but we have plans to branch out into the medical and food industries. As part of our overall business plan we have decided we need to come up with what will be our "brand". Due to the fact we both work constantly, we have very little time to develop the graphics we need. I was informed of the tremendous talent available on this site, and we would like to call on some of that talent to help develop what will be the face of VEPIC.

We are looking to develop a complete graphics/marketing package, but our immediate need is graphics for a brochure. I have attached some example graphics and a very rough sketch of the front page layout of the brochure (Example front page of brochure.png). I have also included a hand sketch I drew up (Sketch of brochure layout.pdf). There will be two basic pages to the brochure. The first page will be the "first page" which will contain the company logo a quick description or mission statement, and a slogan. The back of the "front page" will give an overall discretion of what the company does. The second page will be the "middle page" which will have the service we offer, a description of that service, and contact information on the front. The back of the "middle page" will have various charts of commonly used data. I would like the final deliverable to be a Microsoft Publisher template that I can add or change the text and text background images as needed. Other formats for the final deliverable may be acceptable, but that will need to be decided on a case-by-case basis.

I would like to stay with a shades of blue color scheme and give it a futuristic tech look similar to Iron Man's HUD display or his armor as an example. Other colors can be used, as long as the overall color scheme is in the blue spectrum. The idea is to keep all graphics the same style, so when we find someone with the style we like, we will be asking them to design more graphics down the road (i.e. letterhead, cover pages, social media, etc.)

The target audience will be professionals (mostly engineers) between the ages of 25 to 45. beyond the items mentioned above be as creative as you like. The attached files are not go-by's. They are simply suggestions as to what we like.
