What Is It? We need a logo for our website.

Website Name: Eyes On Oz (short for Eyes on Australia). It’s basically going to be a trending news and informational site about Australian related content.

Main Theme For Logo: Our general idea is basically an eye, with the continent of Australia inside it. Create an eye in the center with sizeable pupil big enough to fit a detailed outline of Australia with Tasmania included. Iris should be a pale blue washed out like the ocean, and white as the outer layer of the eye. See below for artistic style. We’d also like the text ‘Eyes On Oz’ to be somewhere on the design as well.
Please see "Example1.png" for a general idea of how the layout should look. It shows the eye with Australia inside it.

Main Colors: Dark Blue and Gold

Secondary Colors May Include: Black and White, possibly some Red

Artistic Style **IMPORTANT**: Our main thought is for most of the design to be “dot art” (an Australian Aboriginal art form) (google for examples of dot art). Unsure if the entire logo should be in dot art, but it definitely should contain some, as this is a vital piece of Australian culture.

Dimensions: Considering something like 500px wide x 300-400px high. We’d like for the text and logo to still look nice and legible when shrunk to about half that size as well.

Again, the entire logo does not need to be completely Dot Art (an Australian Aboriginal art form). It can be completely dot art if you think that looks good, but the basic requirement is that it does have at significant portion of Dot Art, or a very similar art style.

NOTE: All provided samples are SAMPLES ONLY. Do not directly copy the dot-art Australia in the examples as that was taken from google as an EXAMPLE ONLY. You must create your own.

PS. Don't forget Tasmania! :)

  @methodize, Actually the contestants are not allowed to submit stock images. Licensed images are a problem as well, because the license is for the contestant's own personal use, commercial use is prohibited and licenses are not transferable.
