Maria is the first Maltese composer to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Valencia. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games after being awarded a scholarship. Maria is also a holder of a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning Music. Her piano...Maria is the first Maltese composer to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Valencia. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games after being awarded a scholarship. Maria is also a holder of a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning Music. Her piano composition Remembrance has been published by Trinity as a piece in the Grade 4 Trinity College London Piano Syllabus 2021-2023. Her libretto and songbook The Wild Swans have been published by Kite Group in collaboration with the National Literacy Agency. Maria has performed as a pianist with the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra from Turkey. She is also involved with local singers by performing during special occasions. She has conducted and professionally recorded her compositions with film orchestras at AIR Studios (London), Palau de les Arts (Valencia) and East Connection (Budapest). Maria’s composition Oriental Rhapsody was a compulsory piece in The Malta International Piano Competition. Her works have been featured and broadcasted in film festivals, on Television Malta and RTK Radio.
