Oakfield Mansions is a 15 unit block of flats formed from 3 semi-detached Merchant houses circa 1840. The original buildings had servant quarters and associated cellars on the ground floor the upper 4 floors were used by the families. During the conversion process late 1970's/1980's there was a major rebuild of one of the houses due to structural issues. As a consequence of this work the cellars were destroyed.
