Landscape Design Jobs

Landscape design is a unique field because it can be considered both a design and art tradition, in the same vein as architecture in general. In modern times, the field is focused more than ever on sustainability, since landscape design actually incorporates plant life into its aesthetics. In this manner, the landscape designer must have knowledge in various areas, from urban planning, to horticulture, to artistic composition, and more.

Landscape design can improve architecture in general when it comes to cities, as it is integral when it comes to sewage/draining, irrigation, construction, and property security, as well. There are many subsets of the field, where landscape designers may focus more on the gardening aspect of the sector, or the urban planning aspect of the sector, for example.

Ultimately, landscape design is a very collaborative field, which gives individual freelancers so much range in terms of work. For example, they might collaborate with architects on an exotic resort, or might design a sculpture garden for a city project, for example. Whether it is in combination with engineers, architects, surveyors, or botanists; there is no denying the fact that how humans design their landscape can have profound affects on the aesthetics and overall culture of a society, similar to the way that architecture can affect productivity and morale.

There is a big tree and we built a deck over it because we raised that side of the yard up a lot so there is a giant hole under the deck (so I can't remove the deck, we can fix it up though) If you are looking at the pano photo - the tree is to the right (that's the street side) and there is nothing but mountains to the left. I uploaded a few photos to give an idea of the space, but also a pano shot. We want a ...
