Hi,
We have a simple project that needs a right person to take the challenge. We are looking for a simple Windows application using Amazon Web Service to populate a textbook Database and even export out to a CSV file. Occasionally we want to use the program to find out the new textbooks at [login to view URL] website.
Simple functions we are looking for:
- able to select [login to view URL] or other continents on gathering data
- able to populate textbook information like: Title, author, ISBN, 13-ISBN, list price, price, weight, dimension, sale rank and all the other product information. This includes the book category information, for example accounting, medical and etc.
- able to find the latest textbooks available so we can recreate a new DB or append on the current DB.
- display textbooks information in another windows tab with choice of selecting how many books to list at a time and sorting alphabetically or date
We prefer you can use below language but we are open for suggestion.
- VB or C#
- MY SQL
For more details or clarifications, please contact us.
If this is something simple that you can do, please submit your bid and tell us a little bit about you or your company. Might have more projects related to your skills.
Thanks,
Ed

Hello, I am an experienced Website developer & can do your work easily. However, I'll suggest you to go for a web applicatino & not the windows application.
We have exp. of consuming web service like Templatemonster, paypal, USPS, so we can do the task as per your requirements. If interested please give more details of the same.
I am very experienced in consuming web services and interacting with databases (including writing stored procedures for secure data entry). I had experimented with Amazon's web services a few years ago when I wrote my own textbook price comparison website. My college shut it down because it was in direct competition with their book store. I have since graduated and have two years of professional development experience. I can write this program in VB or C# using any framework, but would prefer to code in the 3.0 framework, as it is quickly becoming the industry standard (new features and lower risk than 3.5).
