The national organ transplant act was issued on the October of the year 1984 and then the same was amended in the years of 1988 and 1990. This act made the buy and sale of the human organs as illegal. The organ transplantation and the assorted services were thus put under a tough vigilance so that no one can indulge in the similar actions hence forth. The department that was set up to safeguard the organ transplant and prohibit the buy and sell of the human organs was named as the Department of Health and Human Services.
