I am looking to create a relatively basic iPhone and Android phone app.

It's primary function is to serve/provide the user with information based on the users location, but also allow the user to search for info/services outside their current location. (Maps/Search/Browse functions)

It needs to be easy to use and access information and update

Types of information to be made available include local Lodging, Petrol Stations etc.
