What we are looking for: We need a fluent, English speaking, technical writer who has at least an “intermediate” understanding of PC componentry. This will involve some research but for the most part, key characteristics will be provided to you. Job Details 1. Write descriptions for 5 media centre products. These should utilise both your creative flair and technical writing skills. These descriptions only have to be a paragraph long but need to be simple enough that a basic user will understand the benefits of the product but it needs to still appeal to an advanced user. An example of the requirement will be in the more detailed brief which will be sent to the awarded freelancer. 2. Write short descriptions for features and benefits provided. Examples of features and benefits : a. Live Streaming b. Network Sharing 3. Write short descriptions of the peripherals we provide you with. Examples of peripherals include: a. Air Mouse b. Keyboard 4. Outline the main features and benefits of two product ranges (PC and Media PC range). This will be the main copy which will be used in brochures and marketing material. This needs to be a mix of both technical and creative writing – appealing to the Australian market. This can be under a page for each range. 5. User instructions for various functions of the media centre. This will require some research however, we will provide you with reference material which you could draw content from. a. Navigation of the user interface b. Downloading/explaining (torrents etc) c. Streaming services d. How to use Blu-ray e. Setting up networking f. Setting up shared folders g. Connecting to wireless h. Using the chrome extension to manage media streaming services.
