Hello,
I'm using Asterisk 1.2.16.
I would like to link it to a MySQL server <b>that is installed on a separate server</b> and to use the external database for 2 purposes:
1. Set all the extensions that are currently listed in [login to view URL], the hosts/servers that are listed in [login to view URL] and the mailboxes that are listed in [login to view URL] in tables in the database. Any change in the database would need to be applied immediately on the running Asterisk, and voicemail password changes would need to be updated in the database, in case a user changes them through the IVR.
2. I would like to build the following script:
a. Caller dials *111, *222 or *333.
b. Run a select command in a specific table in the database to exteact usr and pwd fields, where dialed is the dialed extension.
c. Update the table by marking an additional field (used) as Y for the usr/pwd read.
d. Play to the caller the usr and pwd, by using the /digits and /letters folder in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds.
e. If the caller needs to hear the usr/pwd again, allow him to press 1 to listen.
f. Disconnect the call.
Knowledgeable Asterisk users/developers are invited to send quotes. Further details can be provided.
Thanks,
David
