I wish to create an online game, much like everquest or dark age or ultima online, but with the feel of super smash brothers and mario kart battle mode. Essentially, users will download the required software, log into the server, and battle it out in small arenas with thousands of other users. The worlds will be 3D, but the default manner of viewing it is a top-down 2D perspective, like total annihilation, revenant, or Warcraft 3. The sprites will be simple, with very few polygons. There will be no monsters, only player-controlled sprites, and a slew of weaponry.
Each "arena" will be packed with users. There will be about a dozen unique small arena worlds. Each arena world will have one gem point, where gems pour from. These gems can be spent on items. When you kill another player, you take his gems.
The more gems you spend on leveling, the higher the level you attain, and the larger your 3D character becomes.
I do not want this it be graphically intensive, I want it to be simple, so that a person can zoom out to see the entire arena and still recognize the people and shapes by their large, colorful polygons. Most of the work will lie in designing the combat and the item systems.
The design team will be responsible for delivering a finished product ready for mass production. I will outline every minute detail of the project for the team.
I would prefer a fixed price for the project, or even a ball-park estimate if nothing else.
