I need to hook the WIN API function "TextOut" in my application. There are several libraries available on the net, but I'm having difficulty finding one that does exactly what I need. The caveat is that I need it to work under Win XP/Vista without admin privileges. In Vista, to my knowledge it is not possible to hook a process which has a higher privilege than your own. In such case, it's ok to ignore that process, but I'd still like to hook the remainder of the processes and grab their TextOut calls. [login to view URL] is an interesting resource, but apparently on Vista it tries to get admin privileges before starting which is not ok for me.
