Create an equation plotter – a program that graphs mathematical functions
of x (such as x, sin x, x3 + 4x2, etc.).
Each function defined and each datatype declared (e.g. using struct or
typedef), place a comment immediately above it explaining its purpose, how it works, and how it relates to other functions and types. Collectively, these comments should explain the design.
Program must do the following:
(a) Take two command-line parameters – the names of the input and output files.
(b) Read the contents of the input file, structured as follows:
The first line contains the boundaries of the graph area – real numbers xmin, ymin, xmax and ymax – separated by spaces.
Each subsequent line contains three integers, each in the range 0–255, followed by an arithmetic expression. The integers together represent a colour, divided into its red, green and blue components (in that order). Each integer is followed by whitespace, and the expression itself may also contain spaces.

Hello.. I developed a tool that graph equations and solve them with several methods many years ago. I can search my old code for you. But budget is higher than what expected here.

Having previous experience in function parsing and graphics programming, I can happily complete this project/job with all given requirements. The final C program will be able to parse the input file in format provided, with any expression involving 'x' variable and will be able to generate the curve of the function and display such in screen and output it to a file.
I have designed previously, (as personal and academic projects), equation solvers and compilers as well as various 2d and 3d graphic programs and have plenty of experience to complete this project.
