Project Description

Hello thanks for your interest,

I am looking for someone who has experience in Excel with use in financial models typically used in equity research. Someone with a high degree of skill within Excel and a basic understanding of finance / financial statement etc may also be suitable. The core of the role will be data entry into existing models, focused primarily on historical data, typically available from company websites. Financial models are typically for the finance sector: banks, insurance and diversified financial companies. An understanding of the basics of these sectors, particularly with respect to model design, would be looked upon highly favourably. That said, I am looking for someone junior, perhaps with a few years experience. The project would initially have a certain amount of work and I propose an hourly rate initially to test the arrangement. However could develop into an ongoing arrangement given requirements.

I request if you have no experience with financial modelling within the scope of the description, this role may not be suited. I'd envisage providing the existing model and direction on data sources (usually the company website where the primary source will be PDF but XLS may also be available). Anyone with basic excel and finance skills will quickly be able work out the existing structure an update accordingly, so this should be a easy role.

The role will require working through a backlog then ongoing could be 10-20 hours per month, maybe more.
