We are a distributor of IT products for B2B. Basically resellers must apply to obtain an account before they are allowed to login and get pricing and order products.
We are looking to work with someone who can structure and design a database according to our needs.
Our requirements would be the following:
-Need to add, edit, remove products as needed.
-Correctly categorizing products for browsing and searching by client. Search by product type, manufacturer, part number, etc..
-Ability to mass edit, ie: special on range of products.
-Shipping values: Price structure according to shipping method, location, weight, etc..
-As purchases will be made directly online, require client functionality, keeping orders, making quotes, rma, create/edit existing orders, updating client information, ship to address, etc..
We would like this to be user friendly as well.
The IT products we are currently specializing in is software however we would like a scalable database as we will eventually start adding hardware products.
Ultimately we would like to find someone who has done this before as we are new "online" with regards to building database for client and product listings. We want to find the best way, most efficient way of building this database and being able to maintain it ourselves.
We can always provide examples of what we require as to give you a better understanding.
Again, this project is for experienced individuals only.
