Convert Word Document to InDesign/ePub

We have a 80 page, 44,652 word document in Microsoft Word format (2003 version). We would like to create a clean ePub formated document using InDesign CS5 version 7. The document is divided up into parts, subparts and section numbers. At the beginning of the document is a table of contents. The main things we'd like are: 1. Each Section number would be a separate chapter. 2. If we use the table of contents as pages in the ebook (in addition to being a separate table of contents in the internals), the table of contents pages should have links to the appropriate parts, subparts and sections. We haven't decided which way we want to go with this. Normally, we would say that we don't need table of contents as pages, but the document is a statute and it might be easier for someone to read it as pages. Please assume that we're going to do that for purposes of the bid, but we are open to comments about it. 3. On various pages, there are references to section numbers and parts, which we would like to have linked to the appropriate part. 4. There are is one section that contains definitions and we'd like to have the links from the references in the document back to the appropriate definitions. For instance, if section 15 uses the phrase, "emergency situation" we'd like that to link back to the definition in Section 3 where emergency situation is defined. 5. We'd like both the epub and the indesign documents upon completion. 6. We'd like the document to be readable by a variety of epub readers, including the nook and iphone/ipad. We have a larger word document to epub/indesign conversion that will need to be done in the near future. If this smaller project works out, we would want to discuss the larger project with you. ## Deliverables The definition sections are in Section 514-3. There are other definition sections, but we don't care about those. I've attached the word document so you can get an idea about what is involved. If you're familiar with Elizabeth Castro's book on epub, that would be a plus.
