I have an excel spreadsheet that feeds off a fairly detailed tab within it. Essentially the tab is a basic database... just a few dozen columns that various reports feed off. Columns running left to right as is the norm.
I have a "fast input" page that "runs down" on another tab. On the command of a macro button the fast input data is transferred and transposed across into the database tab.
All of which is working fine. However, I have the need to **_export_** the data from the "fast input" tab into a number pre-selected Word documents.
These documents are "chase letters" related to the content of the whole file which is the control of Christmas Deposits for our hotel.
I employed a VWorker for help about 18 months ago now who has now stopped being a VWorker. He set me up with the export feature but warned that it is "fragile" and uses "merge fields". I am aware of this as I have tried to set new docs up but can't get the data exporting properly all the time. I think I can see how he has done it and I have a very good knowledge of Excel and a fair one of Word but I can't figure out how to make changes and add to it.
I need a more stable way of exporting this data. Can someone help?
