Craigslist Research Project

We need an experienced researcher to look at Craigslist postings in the jobs categories across all US cities and states for the past month. We need to know the number of posts each day in each of the jobs categories. We need the number of posts, and if its free to post job ads there. We just need the number of posts in each category, no details on individual listings. There are a lot of CL cities to look at. There are 50 states, each with numerous cities. Some of the cities have "sub-cities," for example, Seattle has 6 sub cities. In these cases, we need to see information for the City (Seattle) and then each of the sub cities as a separate city, so seven total in that example. We need you to look at the Jobs sections, the Gigs sections, the resume section, and the Creative Services section. This is a total of 43 sections for each city. If you do the math 43 sections x 50 states x Several Cities = lots of research. It would be very beneficial to find somebody with a way to pull the data through some sort of automated analysis, as these is likely to be far too much to even consider doing by hand. We need you to go back 30 days for each of the cities. However, there will not be data for every day for each city. Some will not have had any posts that day, and some will have too many posts and not go that far back. In these cases, we need you to record that the data is unavailable - as opposed to simply no posts for that day. We need everything recorded in an excel file. We need somebody that can work quickly, because some of these cities have lots of posts, and they get deleted quickly. It is important that our data cover as close to same period as possible. So please do not bid if it will take you more than a week. Please look at Craigslist before you bid, and include your estimated time to completion in days.
