I am an HR practitioner currently in Doha, Qatar and have experienced dealing with employment documentation for Philippines, China and Qatar.
Let me first mention that standard Experience Certificates only include the following:
- Your name
- The position you held (if you were promoted during the duration of the employment, the movement will be included)
- The duration of your employment with the Company
- The last salary package you received (optional)
Generally, the actual projects handled and specific details that cover all your work responsibilities are not included in this letter. We can only include brief and most significant contributions or projects that you handled. The experience certificate is merely for the reference of your future employer that your previous company acknowledges that your work experience holds water.
If you wish to describe in detail the specific function in your job, you can ask your company to release a signed and stamped Job Description for you. This can be attached to your Experience Certificate. This way, your Experience Certificate will maintain its brief and concise purpose and your potential employers can refer to your Job Description for further clarifications.
Please do not hesitate to send me a message for any matter.
