Create a logo for my aviation parts company

I am looking to design a logo for my company Southern Spares Services LLC. I like merging the theme of the Hummingbird from the Nazca lines found in Peru, my home country, along with aviation. Therefore I lean toward a bit of subliminal/personal touch to this. However, ultimately the logo should stay on a business aviation company, specializing in aviation parts. I cater to business aviation primarily, meaning private jets, and not the commercial airline industry. Before joining this site, I was thinking of a color background of maroon, with a silver font. I am not set on this but would like to be taken into consideration as I want this to be elegant but also stand out from rest. I have included a picture of the Nazca Hummingbird to provide my personal concept, however I am open minded for other suggestion, I do not want to limit my options.
