Ok I need a website built. It is going to be very similar to the website www.TeamTreeHouse.com. I need it very dynamic and user friendly.
The Gist of the site is a tutorial site that teaches people a specific skill set.
I would like it to be easily understandable, preferably usable through wordpress. However it needs to be a lot more dynamic than the features that wordpress offers now. For instance, I need the layout to be completely different; I want it to have a custom menu with that expands in a flashy way when you click on it. I need the items to be unlock-able based on the completion of the previous item. I need a point system associated with the items, which then translates to a leader board. I need users to be able to connect with friends and compete for the most points. All of these features need to be accomplished however I would like it done on a platform like wordpress so that it will be easy to add new items (I will be updating the site on a weekly basis with new items.
Here is a short description of the 'items':
Like TreeHouse, there will four main components.
Courses are the foundation of the site. Inside the courses there will be subjects and inside the subjects there will be lessons. The lessons are going to be the video tutorials, quizzes, and games. To organize the lessons, they will be nested inside subjects. The subjects are finally nested inside of courses.
So for example, if someone wants to learn golfing, they would go to the 'How to Properly Drive a Golf Ball' course. Inside here they would find a list of three or four subjects, for example purposes, lets say they are 'Grip', 'Stance', 'Backswing', 'Connection', and finally 'Follow Through'. Once they click on a subject, it will expand with the lessons that are associated with that course and subject (I would like to do this using categories). Then they can watch the videos and take the quizzes to gain points and move them forward on the leader board.
The next piece of the site is Tracks. These are overarching categories that contain a list of courses. So for instance, if someone goes to the 'Golf' Track, they will see the 'How to Properly Drive a Golf Ball' course as well as many others.
So pretty much the Tracks -> Courses -> Subjects -> and finally lessons, are just a way to organize the information that we provide.
And keep in mind that everything has to be extremely dynamic and flashy so that our members keep coming back.
I need this done within the next 2-3 months so this will kind of be an expedited project.
I will come up with the design and layout of the site so that you just have to do the coding.

You sure, you want it with WordPress because, I have an account with treehouse and I know how huge this site application is. So I think, its quite tough to implement everything through wordpress. But if you want simplest version of treehouse, then its a good choice.
