build an interactive map

I need a map for a game. Similar to [login to view URL] the map should be simple, with countries separated by color. when you hover on an area, a popup shows that area's name, population, etc. This info should be taken from a mysql database. The area's coordinates will determine its location and size. If a neighboring country conquers another country, the counquered country's color will become the same as the conquering country. All info will come from the database.
