I need a WordPress (or similar) CMS site where I can make a post and have a field to enter a domain name. This domain name (if it has a particular nameserver e.g. [login to view URL]) would then point to this exact post.
Think of a domain parking site, whereby adding a domain to my portfolio and setting the nameserver of that domain as needed will mean a user lands on a page specific to that domain... this is the type of functionality I want.
I would also require some customisation of the post templates - but quite basic (e.g. full-width with image and description page vs. page with just a contact form).
So summary for current phase of work for which you should bid:
- I can login
- I can create a post
- When creating a post, there should be a custom field where I can enter a domain name
- If that domain name has the required nameserver then when typing the domain url, it would take the user directly to the post I created where the custom field contained that specific domain
- This field should only allow a unique entry (i.e. if I try to enter a domain in a new post which has already been added once, then it should show an error)
- Each post should display a simple contact form
- When someone submits the form, it should come through with the unique custom field name as the subject line
- Contact form should also be anti-spam (e.g. with captcha)
- In the "view all posts" dashboard, I should be able to see the post title and the custom field content (i.e. the domain name)
- I should also be able to see how many visits and contact form submissions this post has had
What I described above is the first phase. But the chosen developer will also need to keep in mind how I wish to progress the future phases so that the site's architecture can be setup correctly from the beginning.
In future, the site will allow user registration - possibly paid membership thus user permissions (based on membership type).
