Children's book illustrator needed

I have completed a small children's book and will be self publishing within the next 2-3 months. I have marketing plans myself and believe my story will be well received ( doesn't every author?). I am looking for a creative realism type illustrator to create 10-15 illustrations for the book. The main character needs to be brought to life somehow, and the illustrator who can do that will be the one I use. The main character is a small fir tree named Furby. He has two animal friends who support him on his journey to find happiness. His adventure is one of spirit and hope. I will be willing to look at artist regardless of publishing experience who thinks they can bring Furby to life. Thats the hard part I would guess. While I have an idea how Furby looks, how do you bring a little fir tree, ( Furby is his name for a reason, not Firby)to be adorable and lovable without being maudlin.
I will pay a one time fee of $100 an illustration for 10-15 illustrations. I know there is an illustrator for Furby out there.
Just for clarification. I am paying $100 PER illustration or less. Total illustrations will be between 10-15
