Job Title - Paid Search Manager About Emphasize Design ([login to view URL]) Emphasize Design is a Calgary-based, full-service internet marketing agency that represents several small and medium sized businesses through the development, implementation and monitoring of lucrative online marketing campaigns. Location of Job Preferably Calgary-based, however the job position is not limited to any geographical area. Summary of Job We are looking for an experienced paid search manager to plan and manage all our paid search campaigns. Do you get jazzed up about PPC strategies? Do you know when a display ad works, and when it doesn't? Then this could be the job for you! List of Duties & Responsibilities - Planning and implementing paid search campaigns. - Tracking, tweaking, and evaluating paid search strategies. - Reporting on paid search metrics. - Tracking Google AdWords analytics. - Communicating progress with the marketing team. - Optimizing marketing spend on paid search. To run a successful AdWords campaign, I believe it is vitally important to get the structure of the account correct, and as a Google Certified Individual, I create all my accounts using Google best practise, which involves; - Correct and appropriate campaign settings - Creating lots of ad groups, each containing a small number of keywords, to make them highly relevant. - Good keyword research, including negative keywords! - Use Broad match modified, phrase and exact keyword terms for more focussed searches. - Using dynamic keyword insertion to highlight your ads when searched - Creating a number of ads per ad group and split testing to find the best performers. - Using Ad Extensions to improve CTR and quality scores. Once set up, the account then requires weekly maintenance, to fine tune the settings, adjusting and adding keywords, monitoring and optimising the performance.
