Course Description
This course is for people who wish to develop the skills to be able to
train and assess in the Australian vocational education and training (VET)
sector. Achievement of this qualification satisfies the requirements of
the Australian Quality Training Framework. You will learn how to plan,
organise and deliver training; plan and implement assessment activities;
and how to design training programs that meet client needs.

When you finish this course you can apply to enrol into the Diploma of Training
and Assessment, or other qualifications under the Training and Education
Training Package (TAE10).

The course structure below shows what you must do to complete this course.
units/modules are arranged in groups and sometimes also in subgroups.
You must complete each group as specified as well as following the course
completion instructions. If a course contains optional groups there will
statement at the top of the course indicating how many you must do. At the
top of any group containing optional subgroups there will be a statement
saying how many you must do.
This course reflects the packaging requirements for TAE40110 Certificate
IV in Training and Assessment within the Training and Education Training
Package (TAE10 V2.0). The rules from TAE10 V2.0 are as follows:
Total number of units = 10
- 7 core units plus
- 3 elective units
At least 2 elective units must be selected from the elective units listed
below.
One elective unit may be selected from any currently endorsed Training
Package or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry
requirements and the qualification level. Where a unit is chosen from
another currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course, it must
be from a qualification or course at Certificate III level or above, and
must contribute towards the vocational outcome of the program.
