Currently S3Backer ([login to view URL]) only supports the Amazon S3 back end. This project is for adding a back-end module for supporting Amazon Cloud Drive (ACD) API in addition to the existing S3 API. The main intended use-case is to be able to run ZFS on top of the s3backer exposed block device with the ACD back-end. So the basic user acceptance test is: Machine 1: zpool create -f -d -o ashift=13 testpool /path/to/s3backer/block/device zfs create testpool/test cd /testpool/test; wget [login to view URL]; tar -Jxf [login to view URL]; cd / zpool scrub testpool (make sure that zpool status shows no errors upon completion) zpool export testpool Machine 2: (configure s3backer to read the same block device) zpool import testpool zpool scrub testpool (again, check that zpool status shows no errors) The above zpool create syntax works with ZoL ([login to view URL]) I'm happy for testing to be done using zfs-fuse ([login to view URL]) if that is easier (in which case omit the -d parameter).
