Algorithm to detect disease from EEG signal in matlab

This project should not be that difficult, as long as training and testing data is provided. It is quite straightforward for me to identify and compute features, construct feature vectors, and then implement a pattern recognition algorithm such as support vector machines (SVMs) or any other classifier.
